Frequently Asked Questions
How does camera-based rep counting work?
BellCount uses your iPhone camera to automatically count kettlebell repetitions in real time. Point the camera at yourself from a stable position — propped against a wall or on a tripod — and the app will detect and count each repetition automatically.
Which kettlebell exercises are supported?
BellCount currently supports: Snatch, Military Snatch, One Change Snatch, Clean & Jerk, Long Cycle, Push Press, and Jerk. Additional exercises, competition modes and training options continue to be added through updates.
Does the Apple Watch integration require the iPhone to be nearby?
For real-time rep counting via camera, your iPhone needs to be in camera range. Apple Watch lets you control the app — start and stop sessions, view rep count, and receive haptic feedback — directly from your wrist. Compatible Bluetooth heart rate sensors and chest straps are also supported.
How do I export my workout video with the HUD?
After completing a recorded session, tap it in your history and select 'Export Video'. Your video will include a performance overlay showing rep counts, RPM, duration and other training metrics. You can save it to your Photos library or share it directly to social media.
Is BellCount free?
BellCount is free to download and includes essential training features. Some advanced features are available through optional premium subscriptions. Subscription details and included features can be found within the app and on our Subscription Terms page.
What features require a subscription?
BellCount includes a free version with core training features. Some advanced tools and premium functionality may require an optional subscription. Current subscription plans and included features are described within the app and on the Subscription Terms page.
Does BellCount sync across devices?
Yes. BellCount uses iCloud to keep your training history, session data, templates and settings synchronized across your Apple devices automatically.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Apple Watch is optional. BellCount works fully on iPhone alone. Apple Watch adds the convenience of wrist controls and haptic feedback during sessions, but all core features are available without it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find BellCount, and tap Cancel Subscription.
